Introducing The Race Of The Decade, Salomon Rail Forest Run!

Racing is back again after 2 long years which seemed like an eternity for many. And to kick-start a new era of racing, King Trail Events (formerly World Of Trails) is introducing a new and thrilling 2 race series called Salomon Rail Forest Run. The 2 races will be held on 25th September and 5th November with different formats, venues and categories.

The first race on 25th September will serve as a curtain raiser of sorts to the main Rail Corridor event on 5th November. Its a trail race with 2 fun and thrilling categories to choose from – 10km/21km. Given the current heavy visitorship to our local trails due to the ongoing pandemic situation, we were restricted to using the trails further up north in the Central Catchment Nature Reserve which comprises of some of the oldest known trails in Singapore. The race venue is situated at Dairy Farm, outside the MOE Outdoor Adventure Centre. From here, the race routes will take you to Zhenghua Nature Park, Chestnut Nature Park, Gangsa Trail and the relatively largely unknown rolling grasslands of the Gali Batu Pipeline Trails, Mandai Pipeline Trail and the hidden little gem of Chestnut Northern Trail nestled away between biking trails. Trust us when we say that this is one gorgeous technical trail! Thus you can expect a great trail racing experience which many had had been eagerlly waiting for the past 2 years. And you know that you wont be disappointed as this thriling trail race is brought to you by King Trail Events Pte Ltd (formerly World Of Trails Pte Ltd). When it comes to trail races, we are widely acknowledged as THE KING of trail racing here in Singapore with more than 8 years of organising expertise in widely aclaimed trail races like Forest Force 50 and Force Of Nature Marathon.

Movng on to the main highlight of this race series, the 5th November race will take place entirely on the Rail Corridor. The race venue is situated at the former KTM railway station at Bukit Timah which has been completely transformed into a sleek and sparkling new amenities centre with cafes and other public facilities. And of course, this will be the first official race to take place on the newly revamped Rail Corridor which was formerly known as the Green Corridor. But make no mistake, its still very much green with gorgeous dense forests to be found along the majority of the race course, it truly is a Salomon Rail Forest Run!

With 2 exciting categories – 10km/25km, the race routes will cut across through the heart of Singapore all the way from the north to the south and back again! Starting off from the amazing newly refurbished Bukit Timah Railway Station, you will be racing through a picturesque environment of magnificent dense forests such as Bukit Timah Forest Reserve, Clement Forest and Dairy Farm Nature Park. Its a breathtaking sight to behold! The race routes cutting through these forces of nature are relatively flat and straight which makes it perfect for some serious fast and furious racing!

So are you all excited and fired up yet? Its definitely going to be the race of the decade! We can promise you that 🙂
